ECA: Andrea Agnelli appointed ECA Chairman for the cycle 2017-2019, he succeeds K-H Rummenigge

Andrea Agnelli (ITA), 41, is appointed ECA Chairman by the executive board of the Association for the period 2017-2019, itself a result of the election held at the General Assembly in Geneva (SWI), on 05/09/2017. The president of Juventus (Serie A TIM), who was vice-president of the ECA, succeeds the German Karl Heinz Rummenigge who was not candidate for a new term and who supported Andrea Agnelli.

"ECA has become a strong and fair partner for UEFA and FIFA. When we first started, we had visions. Today, we can proudly say that within a decade, ECA has achieved more than we dared to hope. And since nobody is given an office for life, I can leave this position with a good conscience", said the German leader, who had chaired the ECA since its creation in 2008, on 10/08/2017. Karl Heinz Rummenigge is appointed Honorary President of the ECA on 05/09/2017.
