Twitter: 18.23 million followers in total for the 20 clubs of the Serie A TIM (September 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative total of 18.23 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/09/2017. The Serie A TIM ranks third in the European Top 5 leagues, behind LaLiga Santander and the Premier League, with an average of 911,725 followers per club.

AC Milan is the most followed Italian club with 5.6 million followers, up 356,688 (+6.8%) compared to early August 2017. Juventus is second with 5.1 million followers, with an increase of 301,026 (+6.3%) since August 2017. Juventus is the second club of Serie A TIM to cross the 5 million followers threshold on its main account. Four Serie A TIM clubs (excluding the promoted sides) recorded a rise of more than 5% in their followers in the last month.

Benevento Calcio, promoted to the 2017-18 Serie A TIM, recorded a 24.4% increase in its followers during the month of August (from 4,255 to 5,295), one month after registering an increase of 20.3% (from 3,537 to 4,255) during the month of July.
