LaLiga: bank Santander launches a bank card that pays fans to every goal of their club

The Spanish bank Santander, title sponsor of the LaLiga championships, has launched a credit card that pays its holder for every goal scored by his/her favourite club in LaLiga Santander or LaLiga 1|2|3, on 06/09/2017. Customers of Banco Santander can purchase the "LaLiga Santander" card free of charge, in an agency or online. It is a "revolving" credit card, with an interest rate of 12% per year.

The cardholder first chooses his/her favorite club from LaLiga Santander or LaLiga 1|2|3. For each goal score by this team in the championship, the account is credited with 1, 2 or 3 euros, depending on the cardholders monthly expenses with the LaLiga Santander bank card: €1 if his monthly expenses exceed €300, €2 beyond €500, and €3 beyond €1,000. Bonuses can be doubled or tripled occasionally depending on teams and matches, for up to a total of €45 per month per cardholder.

In 2016-17, the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs registered a total of 1,118 goals, compared to 1,041 for the 22 clubs of LaLiga 1|2|3. The best attacking club of the first division (FC Barcelona) registered 116 goals…
