Ligue 1 Conforama: attendance for Matchday 5 of 2017-18, Marseille - Rennes draws 40,343 fans

Matchday 5 of the 2017-18 Ligue 1 Conforama season drew an average attendance of 24,736 spectators per game, from 08 to 10/09/2017. The average stadium fill rate was 67%.

Olympique de Marseille - Stade Rennais (1-3), the closing game of Matchday 5 on Sunday, 10/09/2017 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), drew the best crowd of the weekend, with 40,343 spectators at the Orange Vélodrome (66,508 seats; fill rate of 61%). Olympique Lyonnais - WA Guingamp (2-1), also played on 10/09/2017(kick-off at 17:00), was the only other game to draw more than 30,000 spectators, with 36, 697 spectators at Groupama Stadium (56,993 seats).

Seven games drew more than 20,000 spectators (including FC Metz - Paris Saint-Germain, sold out with 25,015 spectators) and no game had less than 10,000 fans.

The average attendance of the French championship is currently 23,364 spectators per game on the season, for an average stadium fill rate of 71%.

  • The 20 Ligue 1 clubs posted an average of 21,208 spectators per game in 2016-17, for a fill rate of 68%.
