"One million euros from the sale of Roque Mesa (Spanish midfielder transferred to Swansea City AFC, Premier League) will serve to reduce the price of next season's subscriptions (2018-19)," said Miguel Ángel Ramírez, president of UD Las Palmas (LaLiga Santander), on the Spanish radio station Cadena Ser on 05/09/2017.

The Canary Islands club currently has 18,100 season ticket holders, 900 fewer than in 2016-17. The club counted 19,000 subscribers in September 2016, according to News Tank Football data.
