Paris 2024: "France will be proud to uphold the Olympic values" (Emmanuel Macron)

"A century after the 1924 Olympics, the IOC has chosen Paris and France to host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, is very grateful to the International Olympic Committee for this decision which is an honour for France. France will be proud to uphold the Olympic values of solidarity, excellence, friendship and respect," stated a press release from Presidency of the French Republic, after the double attribution of the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games to Paris and Los Angeles, respectively, at the IOC session in Lima (PER) on 13/09/2017.

The Olympics in Paris will be held from Friday 02 to Sunday 18/08/2024, then the Paralympic Games from Wednesday 04 to Sunday 15/09/2024.
