NBA: Eurovision extends its international distribution rights for the 2017-2022 period

Eurovision has extended its distribution rights to the NBA, NBA TV, and NBA broadcasts for five years until 2021-22, according to the EBU, a subsidiary in charge of audiovisual production and distribution of content for broadcasters and beneficiaries, on 12/09/2017. Eurovision and the NBA began their partnership in 2012.

"Through the new agreement, Eurovision will continue to distribute live games and NBA programming to NBA broadcast partners via its Eurovision Global Network available throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas," said the EBU.

Eurovision will also set up satellite links from the venues for the NBA pre-season games overseas. The first broadcast by Eurovision under the new agreement will be the "NBA China Games 2017", held in China, between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves first in Shenzhen on 5/10/2017, and then in Shanghai on 08/10/2017. The regular season "NBA London Game 2018" Philadelphia 76ers - Boston Celtics, at the O2 Arena (20,000-seat multi-modal venue) in London (ENG) on 11/01/2018, is also part of the agreement.
