Real Madrid: record revenue in 2016-17 (€674.6m, + 8.8%), club expects €690.3m in 2017-18

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) achieved a revenue of €674.6m (excluding player trading) in fiscal year 2016-17, an increase of 8.8% compared to the previous year (€620.1m), announced the Spanish club on 15/09/2017, following the meeting of its board on 13/09/2017.

Real Madrid posted an EBITDA of €137.8m on 30/06/2017, down 15.4% year-on-year (€162.9m in 2015-16, the highest in the club's history). EBITDA reached 20.4% of Real Madrid's total revenue. The club's net profit was €21.4m in 2016-17 (versus €30.3m in 2015-16, down 29.4%).

In 2016-17, the club's net cash position decreased from €13.1m to €10.3m (-21.3%), while the debt had reached €95.8m in 2014-15.

"The club expects a turnover, before the sale of fixed assets, of €690.3m for fiscal year 2017-18, and a profit before tax of €48.6m (compared to €26.3m in 2016-17)," added Real Madrid on 15/09/2017. The final validation of the club's 2016-17 accounts must be submitted to the general meeting of the socios on 01/10/2017.
