Australia: Fox Sports to acquire the rights to the Serie A and La Liga until 2015

Sports pay-TV channel Fox Sports has acquired the broadcasting rights in Australia, to the Italian Serie A and Spanish La Liga for the remainder of the 2013/14 season and the 2014/15 season, the company announced on the 26/09/2013.

The channel will live broadcast two games per week and two on delay, both from the European Championships. Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid (0-1, 7th day of La Liga) and Torino - Juventus (0-1, sixth day of Serie A) were the first two matches to be live broadcast on Fox Sports on the 29/09/2013 at 6:00 and 20:30.

Fox Sports holds all the rights to broadcast the English Premier League in Australia for the 2013-2016 period. The TV-channel also offers its customers the Hyundai A-League (championship of nine Australian teams and one New Zealand club), the AFC Asian Cup, whose 2015 edition will be played in Australia, the AFC Champions League, matches the of the Australian national team, as well as qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup.
