Sub-Saharan Africa: TV Media Sport acquires the rights of the World Boxing Super Series for 3 years

TV Media Sport has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the World Boxing Super Series for sub-Saharan Africa's from the media rights agency MP & Silva, reported TVMS on 19/09/2017. The agreement, valid for three years, includes the "full package of media rights, on pay-TV, free-to-air, digital, and mobile for 47 African countries," for the 2017-2020 period, "with the objective of putting back boxing on the African screens," TV Media Sport told News Tank Football on 27/09/2017.

This competition, organised by the agency Comosa AG, whose first edition begins in September 2017, brings together 16 boxers (8 super-middleweight and 8 light-heavyweight), "for 14 nights of fighting in the biggest capitals with an exceptional prize purse of $50m (€41.7m as of 22/09/2017)," TV Media Sport reported on 19/09/2017.
