Liga Nos: SL Benfica record a net profit of €44.5m for the 2016-17 fiscal year

SL Benfica (Liga Nos) achieved a record net profit of €44.5m in the 2016-17 fiscal year (01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), up 118% (€20.4m) compared to the 2015-16 fiscal year, announced the Portuguese club on 19/09/2017.

The turnover (excluding gains on player trading) amounted to €128.2m, compared to €126.1m the previous year (up 1.7%). Including player trading, the 2016-17 turnover amounted to €253.5m, compared to €211.8m the previous year (up 19.7%).

The total assets of the club are €506.1m, "an unprecedented amount in the panorama of Portuguese football," said the Lisbon club, up from €476.4m for the previous year (up 6.2%). Benfica's shareholders' equity amounted to €67.7m, compared to €20.9m in the previous year, an increase of €46.8m (up 224%).
