Formula 1: Aston Martin expands partnership and to become title sponsor of Red Bull Racing in 2018

Aston Martin, a British automaker, is expanding its partnership with the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team by becoming the title sponsor of the Formula 1 team starting in the 2018 season, announced on 25/09/2017. The team will be named Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. The automaker has been Red Bull Racing's third-tier innovation partner since 2016.

This partnership expansion provides for the opening of an advanced performance centre in Milton Keynes (UK), home of the Red Bull Racing team. The new centre will welcome 110 employees of the Aston Martin design and engineering departments to collaborate in the development of a new hyper-car, after the Aston Martin Valkyrie, already developed in collaboration between the two entities and marketed from of 2019.

Infiniti, a high-end brand of the Renault-Nissan automobile alliance, was the title sponsor of the Red Bull Racing team in the 2013-2015 seasons.
