eSports: VfL Bochum 1848 (2.Bundesliga) hires 2 professional players to create a team on FIFA 18

The VfL Bochum 1848 (2.Bundesliga) have launched into the eSports community by hiring two professional players for the video game FIFA 18, announced the club on15/09/2017.

Michael Bittner (19 years old) and Daniel Fink (21 years old) will play under the pseudonyms of "MegaBit_98" and "Dani_Fink96" respectively. The two players made their first appearance under the club's colours on 16/09/2017 for Bochum-Wattenscheid's World Team Championship tournament.

The release of the FIFA 18 video game, scheduled for 29/09/2017, will mark the beginning of eSports competitions for the game of the EA Sports franchise. VfL Bochum 1848 is the first German second division club to create an eSports team on the FIFA game.
