Bundesliga: FC Köln achieved record turnover of €129.2m (up 20.7%) for 2016-17

1.FC Köln (Bundesliga) achieved a record turnover of €129.2m for 2016-17 (01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), an increase of 20.7% compared to the previous year (€107m), announced the German club on 25/09/2017.

Pre-tax income was €16.8m, an increase of 60% compared to the previous year (€10.5m in 2015-16). FC Köln recorded a net profit of €11.1m, an increase of 73% compared to €6.4m in 2015-16. As with other indicators, EBITDA was up and reached €28.6m (€21.9m in 2015-16, up 30.6%). These positive results can be explained in part by the clubs' strong sporting season, in which they finished in 5th place in the 2016-17 Bundesliga (9th in 2015-16).

In addition, the shareholders' equity increased from €9.2m on 30/06/2016 to €20.2m on 30/06/2017, an increase of 119.6%.
