Netherlands: Jan de Jong (NOS) succeeds Eric Gudde as managing director of Feyenoord

The Dutchman Jan de Jong has been appointed managing director of Feyenoord Rotterdam (Eredivisie) on 31/08/2017. He succeeds his compatriot Eric Gudde, in the post since 17/12/2007. The position comes into effect on 01/11/2017. Jan de Jong, who joined NOS in May 1993 as an editor, held various posts in the Dutch public broadcasting group until he was appointed general manager in May 2010.

"After 24 years, I'm obviously unable to book as a job-hopper. I had been able to work for years for fun, because I am seriously suffering from club loyalty. But this opportunity is unique. Feyenoord is much more than a club, it is much bigger than that. It is a social phenomenon. For many, it's a way of life. Everyone who knows me knows my huge fascination for top sports and Feyenoord," said Jan de Jong.
