Fiji TV will broadcast delayed matches of Chelsea in the Pacific Islands until 2016

Fiji Television broadcaster has acquired the rights to broadcast Chelsea TV, the English Premier League club's official channel, in 21 islands of the Pacific, the company announced on the 27/09/2013.

The rights, acquired from IMG Media agency, include the remainder of the 2013/14 season, and the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. In addition to magazines dedicated to the London club, Chelsea TV offers, delayed coverage of the Blues' meetings in the English Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup (League Cup).

Fiji Television offers two free channels, Fiji One and EMTV and a pay satellite package, Sky Pacific. "Football fans are one of our biggest customer bases of Sky Pacific subscribers," says Nitesh Lal, head of the channel. Nonetheless, we continue to negotiate with programme rights holders to secure alternative football content in the Premier League," he added.
