FIFA: one match behind closed doors for Ukraine and Peru because of fans behavior

FIFA's (Federation Internationale de Football Association) disciplinary committee has sanctioned the FFU (Ukrainian Football Federation) to one match behind closed doors for its national selection, on the 27/09/2013.

The decision follows "the offensive, denigratory and discriminatory actions of a group of Ukrainian supporters," during a qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup against San Marino on the 06/09/2013 (victory of Ukraine 9-0). This behavior was considered by the committee as "shameful and a clear breach of the FIFA Disciplinary Code". The use of pyrotechnical devices is also condemned.

The game behind closed doors will be during the next qualifying match for the 2014 World Cup: Ukraine-Poland, on the 11/10/2013.

The Disciplinary Committee has also decided to ban the selection of Ukraine from playing in Lviv (Western Ukraine) in the Lviv Arena stadium for the duration of the 2018 World Cup play-offs.

The FPF (Peruvian Football Federation) has also been sanctioned to one match behind closed doors for "very serious incidents of improper conduct committed by Peruvian fans…
