France: collapse of a barrier (29 wounded) at Amiens SC - LOSC Lille, the LFP opens an enquiry

"The president of the LFP, Nathalie Boy de la Tour, and the CEO Didier Quillot went to the bedside of the six people still hospitalized in Amiens following the accident at the Amiens - Lille game. After a night of hospitalization, the six people (five LOSC supporters and a steward) are in a reassuring state, and will be able to return home during the day," the French League announced on Sunday 01/10/2017, the day after the collapse of a barrier in the visitor stand at the Stade de la Licorne in the 16^th minute of the Amiens SC - LOSC Lille match (Matchday 8 of the Ligue 1 Conforama), after the opening of the scoring by Lille on 30/09/2017. Results: 29 wounded, including 6 seriously (the last of which left the hospital on 01/10/2017).

"The LFP notes that an investigation has been opened by the public prosecutor of Amiens (investigation into unintentional injuries) and the LFP will cooperate fully in this matter to establish the responsibilities of all. The Disciplinary Commission of the LFP will also open its own, separate enquiry," added the French League.
