Premier League: Burnley FC creates "youth board" to bring club closer to local youngsters

Burnley FC (Premier League) has brought 10 teenagers into a youth board to give a voice to the youth of the region and offer them the opportunity to contribute to the improvement and functioning of the club, Burnley announced on 18/09/2017.

"After a summer recruitment process, the ten youngsters from across the local area, aged between 14-18 years of age, met at the stadium (Turf Moor 22,546 capacity) on 14/09/2017, and were greeted by Neil Hart, chief executive officer of Burnley FC in the community and members of BFC’s management team who will provide support to enable the group to establish itself over the coming months," said the club.

"The Burnley FC Youth Board will meet quarterly at Turf Moor and will be empowered to come to the meetings with their own ideas on how to improve operations at the club and its engagement with the community," said the Lancashire club.
