Women's football: Italy the only country in the Top 5 without a TV broadcaster for its 1st Division

Four countries in the European Top 5 (France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom) have at least one TV broadcaster for their women's football first division in the 2017-18 season. Italy is the only country not to have one.

• In France, the pay-TV channel Eurosport broadcasts between 16 and 22 Division 1 and/or Coupe de France Féminines games. The public group France Télévisions broadcasts four live games from either the Division 1 and/or Coupe de France Féminines on the France 4 channel.

• In Germany, the free and pay-TV group Sport1 broadcasts 22 games per season of the German women's first division (Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga) for the 2016-2018 period. The German operator Deutsche Telekom broadcasts, via a pay-platform, one game of the first women's division, which is then also available on free-TV via the public group ARD, which holds the rights of the entire competition.
