Juventus: net loss of €15.9m in 2013, down 67.3% thanks to the Champions League

Juventus (Serie A) have recorded a net loss of €15.9m during the 2013 fiscal year (01/07/2012 - 30/06/2013), announced the Board of Directors of the club, which approved the provisional accounts and called the ordinary shareholders' meeting on the 24/09/2013. The shareholders' meeting, responsible for validating the financial statements, will be held on the 25/10/2013.

The net loss decreased by €32.7m, or 67.3% compared to 2011/12, when it reached €48.6m. The club explained this improvement by an increase of €70m in revenues for Juventus between 2012 (€213.8m) and 2013 (€283.8m), or a 32.7% increase. Juventus are the club that have perceived the highest revenue for the 2012/13 Champions League, with €65.3m, while they had not participated in the 2011/12 edition.

This increase in revenue has been partially offset by an increase in operating costs of €20.8m between 2012 (€206.3m) and 2013 (€227.1m), or an increase of 10.1%.
