Twitter: 63.03 million followers in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (October 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Premier League season have a cumulative 63.03 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/10/2017. The Premier League ranks first in the European Top 5 leagues, with an average of 3.15 million followers per club.

Manchester United FC, the most followed club with 14.69 million followers, recorded the biggest increase (+7.4%) compared to the beginning of September 2017 (+1.1 million followers). Five Premier League clubs -- Arsenal FC (2^nd, 11.62 million), Chelsea FC (3^rd, 10.25 million), Liverpool FC (4^th, 8.65 million), and Manchester City FC (5^th, 4.97 million) as well as Manchester United -- have more than 4 million followers, a figure achieved by only 5 other clubs in the Top 5 leagues (Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus FC and Paris Saint-Germain).
