Catalonia: FC Barcelona call for "a process of dialogue and negotiation" (JM Bartomeu)

"FC Barcelona, as one of the leading bodies in the country, request that a process of dialogue and negotiation be opened to find political solutions to the current situation in Catalonia," said Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona, on 05/10/2017, while reading a document entitled "FC Barcelona: Dialogue, Respect and Sport."

Since Sunday, 01/10/2017, the day of the Catalonia independence referendum, which saw a 90% majority in favour of independence after a controversial poll, the situation has been tense in this region as well as in the rest of Spain.
