With Facebook Watch, we want to help broadcasters and rights holders reinvent the distribution, production, and consumer experience of sport, and accompany them in their transition to a digital, mobile, and social world," said Dan Reed, director of sports partnerships of Facebook, on 05/10/2017.

Dan Reed spoke at the "Leaders Sport Business Summit" conference in London (ENG) in a presentation titled "From Pokes and Likes to Audience Spikes: Streaming on Social". Dan Reed presented Facebook Watch to the audience, a new space and service of the social network specially dedicated to episodic video programming, and launched in the US at the end of August 2017. The opening date of Facebook Watch in the rest of the world is not yet known as of 05/10/2017.
