The 24 clubs in the 2017-18 Sky Bet Championship season have a cumulative 12 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to News Tank Football on 01/10/2017. The Sky Bet Championship is the most followed second division of the European Top 5 countries on Facebook, with an average of 502,097 fans per club.

Aston Villa FC is the Sky Bet Championship club with the most fans (2.3 million) on Facebook. With more than 1 million fans, both Sunderland AFC (1.7 million) and Hull City FC (1 million), who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2016-17 season, rank second and third. Leeds United FC, with an additional 4,386 subscribers (+0.9%), was the club with the best gross change on Facebook in September 2017. Burton Albion FC is up 1.8% of its number of fans (+385), the best percentage growth in the Sky Bet Championship.
