LaLiga Santander: Valencia CF are committed to using 100% renewable energy

"Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander), as part of a sustainable development project 'Towards a sustainable Valencia CF', have signed a commitment with our current electricity supplier to enable us to power our sports infrastructures with clean, 100% renewable energy", announced the club, on 04/10/2017.

"On a matchday at the Mestalla (55,000 capacity), where an average of 40,000 people gather, the electricity consumption is equivalent to that used by two families of four living in 90m2 units for a whole year. Valencia CF have set the objective of reducing the impact of electricity consumption by 95% through the use of renewable energy sources," added Valencia CF.

"This action aims to raise awareness of the use of green energy, with Valencia CF partnering with a large group of European clubs that already support this idea.
