23 countries, including Russia as the host team, have assured their place in the final tournament of the 2018 World Cup, to be held in Russia from 14/06 to 15/07/2018, as of 11/10/2017.

• In UEFA, alongside Russia, Belgium, Germany, England, Spain, Poland, Iceland, Serbia, Portugal, and France all finished top of their qualifying groups to book their place in the 2018 World Cup.
• In CONMEBOL, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Colombia have qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
• In the AFC, Iran, Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia have qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
• In CONCACAF, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama have qualified for the 2018 World Cup.
• In the CAF, which still has one matchday to play in November for its group phase of qualification, Nigeria and Egypt have already assured their place in Russia.

Along with the three other group winners in the CAF region, the remaining places will go to the four winners of the UEFA-zone play-offs and the two winners of the inter-confederation play-offs (see below), and which be concluded by 14/11/2017.
