LaLiga Santander: Barça and Real Madrid represent 51.7% of the "adjusted average audiences"

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF represented 51.7% of LaLiga Santander's national and international "adjusted average audiences" for the 2016-17 season, according to information published on the Sevilla FC's website on 08/10/2017, which was based on data provided by LaLiga.

The total number of national and international "adjusted average audiences" was estimated at 2.396 billion TV viewers, and FC Barcelona was top of the ranking (25.91% of total audiences), ahead of Real Madrid CF (25.81%) and Atletico de Madrid (7%).

"To analyze the impact of each club on the audiences of LaLiga Santander, LaLiga calculates what it calls an 'adjusted average audience', applying coefficients according to the hours and days less likely to gather strong audiences, or according to the percentage of each team's fans that, according to estimates, watch all matches," said Sevilla FC.
