Senegal: FSF ends contract with equipment supplier Romai and extends with Orange until 2021

"I would like to announce that we have put an end to the contract between us and Romai," said Augustin Senghor, president of the FSF (Senegalese Football Federation), on 28/09/2017. The reasons given were: insufficient quality of equipment delivered and delays in payment of the financial amount provided for in the contract.

The Emirate brand Romai Sports became the FSF equipment supplier for two years (until December 2018) on 04/11/2016. The equipment manufacturer succeeded the German brand Puma, who were the equipment supplier of the Senegalese national teams from December 2004 to 31/12/2014. The Senegalese national teams will continue to use Romai equipment until a new partnership agreement is reached. The US brand Nike is in advanced negotiations with the FSF to succeed Romai, according to Senegalese media.

Sonatel, a Senegalese telecommunications operator and a subsidiary of the French group Orange, has renewed its partnership with the FSF for four seasons (2017-2021) on 28/09/2017. The agreement covers both the Senegalese national A team and the U-20 team, and the Orange brand…
