France: TV audiences of the Champions League on Canal+

The UEFA Champions League Group B match Anderlecht (Jupiler Pro League) - Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama) will be broadcast live by Canal+ on Wednesday 18/10/2017 (kick-off 20:45 CET). The Canal+ group broadcasts, in France, one first-choice fixture (excluding the final) every week of the competition over the 2012-2018 period. This first choice game only concerns Wednesday evenings for 2015-2018.

Canal+ and the pay-TV group beIN Sports acquired the French-language audiovisual rights to the Champions League for the 2015-2018 period on 11/04/2014. The PSG - Bayern Munich (3-0) match was watched by 2.1 million subscribers on Canal+, or 39.8% of the subscribers watching TV at that time, on Wednesday 27/09/2017.

From 2018-19, the French telecommunications group SFR Group will pay an estimated €350m per season for all the TV rights, in France, to the Champions League and the Europa League for the 2018-2021 period, announced on 11/05/2017. The Champions League matches for the 2018-2021 period will be broadcast on the SFR Sport pay-TV channels.
