2018 World Cup: 3.49 million tickets requested during the first sales phase

3,496,204 tickets were requested for the 64 matches of the 21st World Cup 2018 in Russia during the first sales phase, which ended on 12/10/2017, announced FIFA on the same day.

The majority of requests came from Russia. However, international requests represented more than 30% of the total number of tickets requested. German, Brazilian, Argentinian, Mexican, American, Colombian, Egyptian, Chinese, and Polish supporters complete the Top 10. In addition, 150,000 tickets were requested for the opening match, which will include the Russian national team at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, on 14/06/2018, and 300,000 for the final, scheduled in the same stadium on 15/07/2018.

"All successful, partially successful and unsuccessful applicants will be duly notified of the outcome of their applications by 16/11/2017," said FIFA on 12/10/2017.

The draw for the final tournament (allocation of the 32 qualified teams into eight groups of four) will take place at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow (RUS) on Friday 01/12/2017.
