Premier League: South African Airways to partner with Sunderland in 2013/14

South African Airways has partnered with Sunderland (Premier League) for the 2013/14 season, the club announced on the 05/10/2013.

The South African national airline company becomes Sunderland AFC's official partner. The company logo has been present on the players' shirts during warm-ups of Premier League matches, since the match against Manchester United (1-2, seventh day), on the 05/10/2013.

"We are increasing our presence across the African continent and this relationship provides the perfect platform for us to build on the significant work we have already done in the territory," said Gary Hutchinson, commercial director of Sunderland. The club is pursuing its strategy on the African market after the shirt sponsorship agreement with South African financial services company Bidvest, the sponsorship agreement signed with the National Tourist Office of Tanzania and the charity partnership with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, on the 28/02/2013.
