Premier League: Sony Music Entertainment becomes official partner of Chelsea FC for 2017-18 season

The US music production company Sony Music Entertainment has become an official partner of Chelsea FC (Premier League) for the 2017-18 season, on 19/10/2017. This partnership is in the second level of the sponsorship hierarchy of the London club.

As part of the deal, Sony Music and Chelsea FC will offer fans music playlists made by the players. "We are incredibly excited to join forces with Sony Music, one of the leading entertainment companies in the world. Combining some of the world’s most celebrated music artists and football stars will create innovative content and experiences for our global fanbase," said Chris Townsend, commercial director of Chelsea FC, on 19/10/2017.

"Both football and music are fuelled by passionate fans. That emotional pull makes the connection so satisfying. We want to combine the two and elevate the experience to new heights. Everyone here at Sony is incredibly proud and excited to work with Chelsea Football Club," said Dusko Justic, vice-president of Sony Music International, in charge of international marketing.
