Manchester City: Nexen Tire (tyres) extends its shirt sleeve sponsorship to Carabao Cup matches

Nexen Tire has extended its sponsorship partnership with Manchester City FC (Premier League) to the games of the English club in the Carabao Cup, announced the South Korean tyre manufacturer on 23/10/2017. The agreement extends until the end of the 2019-20 season.

Nexen Tire has been a partner of Manchester City (Premier League) since 07/08/2015, and extended its partnership by becoming the English club's shirt sleeve sponsor for Premier League games, for three seasons (2017-2020), on 17/03/2017. Manchester City thus became the first Premier League club to announce the signing of a sleeve sponsor. The annual amount is estimated at £10m (€11.2m as of 24/10/2017) by specialised British media.

The Premier League made the decision, on 10/11/2016, to allow its clubs to market a sponsorship space on the left sleeve of the official kit, from the 2017-18 season. The EFL also authorised this measure for the Carabao Cup matches, and the FA extended it to the Emirates FA Cup games.
