Hamburger SV: partnership with McDonald's (2017-20) for a McCafé inaugurated at the Volksparkstadion

McDonald's Deutschland, the German subsidiary of the American fast food chain, began a collaboration with Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) on 21/10/2017. The collaboration, of which the level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the German club has not yet been specified, will run over three seasons (2017-20).

As part of the partnership, the club and McDonald's have inaugurated a McCafé (the cafe chain of the American group, similar the Starbucks model), in which mainly hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) and pastries are served, in the hospitality area of the Volksparkstadion, the stadium of HSV.

The new space is located in the VIP area of the west stand of the Volksparkstadion.

Bremen, Hannover, Nürnberg, and Ingolstadt also have a McCafé in their stadiums

• The group opened its first McCafé in a German stadium in the Stadion Nürnberg, 1.FC Nürnberg (2.Bundesliga), in 2011.
