Media: US conglomerate WME | IMG creates a new holding company, Endeavor

WME | IMG, the US agency which manages career management, audiovisual, and marketing rights, announced the creation of a holding company, Endeavor, which will "take on the full portfolio of owned and operated brands formerly under the WME | IMG banner," on 09/10/2017.

This new Endeavor entity will be led by Ariel Emanuel as CEO, and Patrick Whitesell as president. Ariel Emanuel, joined by Patrick Whitesell in 2001, is one of the co-founders of Endeavor agency in 1999. Endeavor merged with William Morris Agency in 2009 to form WME (William Morris Endeavor).

This new Endeavor holding company now holds: "WME, a leading global entertainment agency representing a powerful client roster across motion picture, television, sports, music, books, digital and theater; IMG, a global leader in sports, events, media and fashion; UFC, the world’s premier professional mixed martial arts (MMA) organization".
