"We are in one industry. One can not cheat. If, in Spain, there was a club like Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama), owned by a State, I would not want it in my competition. This would (then) no longer be the competition of LaLiga, but (the compeition) of this State, to which we would become dependent," said Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish Professional Football League, on 30/10/2017.

"We see that PSG and Manchester City FC (Premier League), over the last five years, are the clubs that have invested the most in the acquisition of players. As their real income does not allow them to make such investments, they have invented fictitious, state-linked sponsors with amounts that do not match market prices. We have compared PSG and City revenues with those of Real Madrid, Barça, Manchester United, and Bayern. They are higher... At PSG, the sponsorship revenues are tied to Qatar, directly or indirectly, and are superior to those of Manchester United...
