LaLiga Santander: adidas (5 clubs under contract) is the most represented kit supplier in 2017-18

With five of the 20 clubs (25% of the total) under contract, the German sports equipment brand adidas is the most represented kit supplier in LaLiga Santander for the 2017-18 season, as was the case in the 2015-16 season (five clubs under contract, tied with Nike) and also in 2016-17 (six clubs). The second most represented is the Spanish brand Joma, which, with four Spanish clubs under contract for the 2017-18 season, puts the American brand Nike (three clubs under contract) into third place in the ranking.

In total, the 20 clubs of LaLiga Santander receive a minimum of €192.6m for their supplier contracts, or €9.6m on average per club. 54.5% of this total is provided by the contract linking Nike to FC Barcelona (amount estimated at €105m in 2017-18). If we add to this amount the annual amount of €42m paid by adidas to Real Madrid CF, then Barça and Real together account for 76.3% of the total figure received for kit supplier contracts of the clubs of the Spanish first division in 2017-18.
