Serie A TIM: Macron (4 clubs under contract) is the most represented equipment supplier in 2017-18

With four of the 20 clubs (20%) under contract, the Italian brand Macron is the most represented equipment supplier in the Serie A TIM for the 2017-18 season. With three clubs under contract each, the Italian brand Kappa and the American brand Nike are the next most represented equipment suppliers in the Italian first division for the 2017-18 season. Nike was the most represented kit supplier in the 2014-15 (five clubs under contract), 2015-16 (four clubs), and 2016-17 (three clubs) seasons.

In total, the 20 clubs of the Serie A TIM receive €101.8m from their equipment supplier contracts, or €5.1m on average per club. 50.3% of the total figure is provided by the two contracts of the German brand adidas, with Juventus FC (amount estimated at €31.5m per season) and AC Milan (amount of €19.7m in 2016). Excluding the extreme values (Juventus FC at the top, and Benevento Calcio / SPAL 2013 joint bottom), the average equipment supplier amount paid to the Serie A TIM clubs in 2017-18 falls by 23.5% to €3.9m.
