Twitter: 62.96 million followers in total for the 20 LaLiga Santander clubs (November 2017)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 LaLiga Santander season have a cumulative total of 62.96 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/11/2017. This figure makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular European Top 5 league on Twitter, with an average of 3.15 million followers per club, behind the Premier League (3.24 million).

FC Barcelona passed the 25 million followers mark (25,069,305) on Twitter in October 2017, and has 777,651 additional followers (+3.2%). The Catalan club remains the second most followed club in LaLiga Santander (primary Twitter account only), behind Real Madrid with 27.17 million followers, who had an increase of 709,790 (+2.7%) compared to the beginning of October 2017.
