DFL: Jörg Daubitzer will leave the post of CEO of Bundesliga International on 31/12/2017

"Effective year-end (31/12/2017), Jörg Daubitzer (GER) will be stepping down as CEO of DFL subsidiary Bundesliga International (BLI) at his own request," announced the DFL on 08/11/2017. He has worked at the DFL since 2005. Jörg Daubitzer took his position at the new Bundesliga International GmbH when it became operational on 01/07/2017 (see below). "Robert Klein, chief commercial officer of Bundesliga International since 01/05/2017, will assume as new CEO overall responsibility for all business areas as of 01/01/2018," added the DFL.

"Since 2005, Jörg Daubitzer has been responsible for sales of international media rights for the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga as well as for sponsoring and licensing. In 2008, he was appointed to the Management Board of DFL’s newly founded marketing subsidiary, DFL Sports Enterprises (DFL SE).
