Manchester City FC: record turnover of £473.4m (€539.9m) for the 2017 fiscal year (13 months)

Manchester City FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover (excluding player trading) of £473.4m (€539.9m) for the 2017 fiscal year (01/06/2016 to 30/06/2017), up 21% over 2016 (£391.8m, €509.8m). On an exceptional basis, Manchester City FC's accounting year was calculated over 13 months in order to align the closing of the accounts with those of the City Football Group holding company.

The 2016-17 net profit was £1.1m (€1.24m), compared to £20.5m (€26.65m) in 2015-16.

The club's payroll for 2017 was £264.1m (€301.2m), up 34% over the previous year (£197.6m, €257.12m), and represented 52.2% of total club expenses, compared to 50.7% the previous year.
