Mali: Boubacar Baba Diarra is the new president of the Federation

Boubacar Baba Diarra has been elected president of the FEMAFOOT (Malian Football Federation) at the EGM (Elective General Assembly) at Mopti, on the 08/10/2013. He takes over Hamadoun Kolado Cissé, in office since 2009 and he is elected until 2017.

Boubacar Baba Diarra was opposed to the outgoing president, during the second round of voting. The new president of the Federation won by 29 votes against 25. On the first ballot, Kolon Sidibé was eliminated.

"The vote was conducted in full transparency and without incident. It is an honor for all Malian football players," said Musharraf Anjorin, representing the CAF (Confederation of African Football) and FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), on the 08/10/2013.

The composition of the new FEMAFOOT executive committee has not been released yet.
