Formula E: Hugo Boss (fashion) becomes official tailor from 2017, ends partnership with Formula 1

Hugo Boss, the German luxury fashion house, has become the "official tailor" of the Formula E World Championship for electric car racng, said Formula E on 13/11/2017.

Hugo Boss has gained the status of official partner, in the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Formula E. "Launching on 01/12/2017 ahead of the season opener in Hong Kong the following day (on 02 and 03/12/2017), fans will see the Hugo Boss branding appear trackside throughout the city streets, on the official Formula E demo car and on Formula E staff clothing," added Formula E.

"Hugo Boss has always been looking at innovative approaches to design and sustainability. When we first encountered Formula E, we immediately saw its potential," said Mark Langer, CEO of Hugo Boss, on 13/11/2017. Meanwhile, the brand, a partner of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team since 2015, will end its partnership with Formula 1 in 2018 (see below).
