Real Sociedad: turnover of €79.4m and a net profit of €2.4m in 2016-17

Real Sociedad SAD (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €79.4m in the 2016-17 fiscal year (from 01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), an increase of 32.7% compared to 2015-16 (€59.85m), announced Jokin Aperribay, president of the club, on 31/10/2017.

The increase is mainly due to the centralised domestic TV rights of the LaLiga Santander over the 2016-2019 period (€2.65bn over three years). The 2016-17 net profit of the club was €2.4m, versus €6.1m in 2015-16. Despite the decline in net profit, this is the eighth consecutive positive accounting year for Real Sociedad SAD, said Jokin Aperribay (see below). The wage bill amounted to €36.7m, and represented 47.68% of the club's total expenses.

The turnover forecast for 2017-18 is €100.6m, with an estimated net profit of €15.5m, according to the president of Real Sociedad SAD.
