Borussia Dortmund: call for projects to finance amateur club infrastructure (€200,000)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) have decided to fund amateur football infrastructure projects with €200,000 (€150,000 from the commercial company and €50,000 from the association) by launching a competition specifically for clubs in the region, indicated the club on 09/11/2017.

"The whole of German professional football is doing better than ever economically. BVB wants clubs in the region to share in this prosperity," said Borussia Dortmund. "As the leading figure in football in Westphalia, we have the duty and the responsibility to give something back," said Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund.

The candidate clubs, which must be affiliated to the "Fußball- & Leichtathletik-Verband Westfalen" (FLVW, entity in charge of amateur football in the Dortmund region, in the center-west of Germany), have until 19/12/2017 to send in their project. These will then be studied by a jury including Wolfgang Paul, president of the association of former players for Borussia Dortmund, and Jürgen Grondziewski, president of the FLVW, who will decide on the allocation of funds.
