LaLiga Santander: The FC Barcelona Foundation raises awareness of refugees with Proactiva Open Arms

"The FC Barcelona Foundation (LaLiga Santander) has signed a partnership agreement with the Catalan humanitarian organisation Proactiva Open Arms, for a series of operations to raise public awareness of the serious humanitarian crisis affecting millions of displaced people and refugees in the world, especially in the Mediterranean," announced FC Barcelona on 07/11/2017.

"The first joint action of the two entities is the support provided by the FC Barcelona Foundation to the Astral ship which, from 01/11/2017 to the end of December 2017, will visit different ports off the Catalan coast, then Mallorca (Balearic Islands) to conduct awareness sessions with children," added the club.

"The aim of this campaign is to open the eyes of youngsters so that they are aware of what is happening to people fleeing poverty and trying to reach Europe in search of refuge, in order to raise awareness about 'one of the most important humanitarian crises of this century'," said FC Barcelona.
