Premier League: 15 clubs agree to lower the price of away tickets

15 Premier League clubs have committed to implement actions to reduce the price of away tickets for visiting spectators on the 09/10/2013. This decision follows a petition launched in July 2013 by the FSF (Football Supporters' Federation) to make games more affordable for fans, in the Premier League. This petition has gathered more than 10,000 signatures.

The Premier League has decided to allocate € 4.7m per year from their TV rights (ie € 235,000 per club) until the 2015/16 season, so that clubs set up policies to encourage fans to attend away games.

Manchester United announced that they would lower away ticket prices by 4.7 €. Arsenal announced a decrease of 3 € and Liverpool a discount of between € 2.3 and € 4.6 for the 2013/14 season. The initiative will be effective for Manchester United's fans during the trip to Fulham, for the 10^th day of the Premier League, on the 11/02/2013.

Tottenham have organized subsidised travel to all 14 top-flight games outside the London area, within the programme.
