Qatar: Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani re-elected at the head of the Federation

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani has been re-elected as President of the QFA (Qatar Football Federation), on the 09/10/2013. He begins a new four-year term which will therefore end in 2017.

The Board of Directors of the Federation will meet to set new guidelines on the 15/10/2013. "This will be a fresh start for us, said the President of the QFA on the 09/10/2013. We achieved a series of targets that has made football the most popular sport in the country," he added.

"One of the finest hour in the last term was winning the 2022 World Cup bid race," said Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani. "We still have huge challenges to meet. Football fans can be assured that we will work tirelessly to develop the sport they passionately love," he added.
