Bundesliga: revenues of €122.1m (-0.7%) for Hamburger SV and a net loss of €13.4m in 2016-17

The commercial company of Hamburger SV (Bundesliga), HSV Fußball AG, posted a revenue of €122.1m (including player trading) for the 2016-17 fiscal year (from 01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), down 0.7% compared to in 2015-16 (€123m), announced the club on 21/11/2017.

Hamburger SV recorded an EBITDA of €17.75m in 2016-17, compared to €16.4m in 2015-16 and €22.9m in 2014-15. The club posted a net loss of €13.4m, compared to €0.16m in 2015-16 and €16.9m in 2014-15.

"With a balance sheet total of €186.8m, the capital ratio (equity / assets) is 23.4%. In integrating the capital increase registered in the commercial register after the closing of the accounts, HSV Fußball AG's shareholders' equity amounts to €42.4m as of 30/06/2017. Financial debt mainly comprises the bond issued in 2017 (€40m), the loan in 2012 for the anniversary of the club called 'Jubiläumsanleihe' (€17.5m), and loans to finance transfers (€19.2m)," explained Hamburg SV, whose capital gains on player trading amounted to €6.9m for the 2016-17 fiscal year (€16.7m in 2016).
